after taking 8 hours of greyhound ride from boston, we finally reach montreal! Stacy's friend Zheng Wei is an exchange student there from NUS and he arranged for us to stay at his other exchange friend's place.
Our host Amily and Carol! Haha we reached at 8plus am in the morning hence all of us have the "sleepy" look and were having breakfast prepared by them! Yummy wafffles!
all dolled up taking the metro to the famous sphere!
on the road… I finally got to wear this carpet-like top of mine which I bought years ago and had no chance to wear in a tropical country like Singapore! It was really cold there!
nice fall leaf colours
Biosphere! If you didn't know, Montreal uses french as its 1st lang!
Look like a scene in movie huh?
Romantica~
Woah~ I love maple leaves~
De` babes
Pine trees are nice too!
Another tree with nice leaves =)
Where can I find these kind of trees in Singapore?
I just love taking pictures with these trees~
evidence that I am in Montreal!!! keke
Stacy and I wraping round the sphere!
the river nearby, we were trying to spot beavers =p
nice stone house =)
the metro station, check out the french words! Throughout the whole time I was in Canada, I didn't know which stations that I was at and which ones to alight to go to the places I want to go. I depended solely on my freinds =p
We took the metro down to old montreal after visiting the sphere. This is the church where Celine Dion got married. We paid to watch a introductory show with light effects and stuff but they kind of screwed up and the curtains didn't fall so it wasn't a spectacular view for us =(
It was really really cold and I had to wear another jacket which I brought. This is another historical building among the many!
This whole group of people are exchange students from Singapore in Montreal! We met up and went to Chinatown for Chinese food, something which I miss a lot and took for granted in the past =( Yeah, it's always like that... You'll only realise when it's gone. Sometimes it may not be too late but most of the time there is nothing you can do to get it back anymore~
Chack this out! I'm not kidding you. It's really really cold at 0 degrees and I was not prepared for it at all!!! The only warm clothes I have was sweatshirts! I bought the gloves from forever21 solely because I was "playful" and wanted to use them in Japan later.
This is another church we saw on our way to Zheng Wei's house the next morning. His host family is really nice to offer us his car for the day as we had plans to go on a road trip! You'll find out later.
When we arrived at Zheng Wei's host house, they were out and forgot to leave the car keys for us boo =( but it gave us time to ride their bicycles to the park!
As there were only 2 bikes(Zheng Wei took 1), Stacy had to pillion me =p Haha we look like 2 countryside pumpkins huh?
Nice lakeview of the park!
Another nice lakeview of the park!
If only Stacy was a drop-dead gorgeous hunk =p then it'll be autumn in my heart~
Enjoying ourselves at the park!
I love this!
Yeah and so we finally got the car and we're on a really long (to me) 3-hour drive cross borders to US. Yeah I know it's funny why we cross over to Canada and then do a road trip to US when we were originally from US.
Nice view while on the road to Vermont! Yeah now some clue to where we're heading~
Yeah that's right! Ben & Jerry's Factory!
This is the state where B&J 1st originated!
Their graphics are kind of easy to regconise aren't they? The video that was shown during our tour mentioned Singapore! Our country haha! They were trying to tell that B&J's ice-cream is popular and have travelled to even Singapore!
Pints and pints of display!
This is where a small scoop of ice-cream was served after our factory tour!
Lovely!
We got to see the big machineries that made the ice creams but we were there on a Sunday hence there was no one manually working.
This is the size of the ice-cream that they should serve us instead of the small little cup you see me holding in the above picture. We paid usd3 for the tour which is worth a pint of B&J from Walmart! By the way, Walmart has the cheapest price for a pint of Ben & Jerry's ice-cream. It was usd3 and now there is a promotion at usd2.50 a pint.
New flavours!
I love B&J's ice-cream!!!
Hall of fame/flavours?
I love this flavour! and many other more of course =)
This is their ranking for the flavours!
I~Scream!~
I look like a moo~~
Opps this is the flavour graveyard whereby flavours they had before are no longer in production mainly because they are not popular or the production cost is too high!
Oh no! So many flavours "killed"...
1986! Produced the same year I was born! But passed on way earlier than me =P
Who is Ben and who's Jerry?
Another 3 hours drive back was really tiring *_* I didn't really want to drive but it was really unfair that Stacy kept driving so I took the wheels for like 20mins =P I know it's short but it still helps right? I was really tired and I don't think it's safe anyways. I nearly rammed into the side railings as I was dozing off while drving!
Our car had been emitting smoke from the front since we 1st lay our hands on it and we don't know what's wrong. We figured that it's too cold but the lady at the custom was really scared and kept asking us to check it! In the end we got asked to pull over to have all our passports checked =(
Dinner at Woodlands resturant!
The top that I was wearing for the day was courtesy of Amily =) I really like this top from Abercrombie =D
to be continued...
