Today's plan was to visit the University of Hawaii!!! Since Andy is a student there, it will be easy for us to sneak in =P Ahaha Wanted to compare the different colleges aound the world and see how NUS fare in terms of facilities, infrastructure, hunks & babes etc =D

Before tt, here are some shots of the surroundings of where I'm staying for this whole Hawaii trip! The place i'm staying is only 15mins walk from the university! Something like Sheares Hall to Arts Fac?

Trying to fit into the environment, sitting in their canteen. I realise tt everything is ex in this campus! Their food is not subsidised at all! One meal cost like US$6.50 and is considered the cheapest ard. ok kinda appreciate the amt tt we pay for a meal in NUS =]

Went to their Centre for Korean studies too!

I'm surprised we could actually wake up in time to meet Andy! But it was super cold at 7 in the morning and it was drizzling... We took bus 4 to Waikiki and it cost US2. Thr's free transfer within 2 hrs when u retain the tix stub but dunno y the driver gave us 5hrs grace period =) Feeling generous?

Look at how big the pancake is...It's fairly delicious esp the chocolate chip one but u'll get sick of it if u eat too much! N i jus realised tt we haf to tip whrever we go! No wonder the cab driver didn't wan to return our change on the 1st day when we took a cab from the airport to pearl habor!

Aft breakfast, we felt really sick and needed salty food. We went to ABC mart and end up buying a snorkelling mask =P Haha went to visit Andy's room too! This is the view from his room...

Elayne agreed to spend her sunday with us and we all wanted to go to North Shore! before tt, we had lunch at a Vietnam resturant! We gave her a treat as a form of gratitude n_n to thank her for letting us stay at her place!


We 1st went to Kailua Beach. It's Elayne's fav beach cos the sand thr's really fine and soft!

We headed to the North Shore hoping to see surfers conquering the Big Waves! Unfortunately, thr wasn't any waves tt day =(

Went for shave ice at Waiola! Really nice!!! It's something like Sg's ice-kachang!

Our Last stop was Walmart! We went to shop for groceries and souvenirs before heading home!

It's either Jet Lag or flight tiredness or exhaustion from arrival day's jam packed activities(we completed 6 activities rem?), both of us woke up at like 11plus.

Went to lunch with Kay at Blimpie, very similar to Subway

We gave her a treat cos it's her b'day tmr. She was also surfing Elayne's couch but only for 2 days. N guess wad? She woke up at 6 tis morning and went to Diamond Head Crater b4 she fly to the Big Island this afternoon. I think we cld haf joined her if we cld wake up =P

Aft lunch, I blogged a little and decided to head to Ala Moana Shopping Center, US's largest open-air shopping center. It's something like VivoCity. We waited for the Bus for close to an hour! Life is so slow-paced here! I bet pple will be complaining abt the long wait time if this were to happen in SG!

The best part abt waiting can only be looking at gorgeous drivers driving pass the bus stop =P Ahaha thr was one cute jap guy at the front passenger seat doing the "hang loose" sign to me. I learnt from Elayne ltr tt it means to say hi! WOah if I had known, I wld haf hitched a ride and not wait for tt stupid bus.

Oh did I mention tt aft I was injured and attended to by the lifeguard ytd, one blonde guy on bicycle kept smiling at me as I was walking back to Adam's car. =D Wahaha I dunno y he kept turning back to smile and when I walk passed him, he said bye to me!

We finally reached Ala Moana Shopping Mall...


We met Andy and his fren to go to Polynesian Cultural Center aft tt.


The ambassador package(i.e. VIP package) was super ex, US100!!Luckily Andy's fren had a 35% discount and we got our package for US65. But the good thing abt the package is that it includes buffet dinner too!!!

The crab legs are SUPERB!!!!! OH MY!!! With melted better...THe dessert are good too!

This is "Horizons.", Oahu's largest evening show!

The desserts we'r holding comes with the package =) if u were to get a cheaper package, u'll haf to pay US10 for it! =) We realized that the package we got was quite worth it for the so many things offered! We'll be going back agn cos we haven seen the Imax show and visit the villages!

After heading home, Elayne brought us to club with her frens since it was saturday night =P


The one in black is Matt and the one with tie is Kelvin. Both are super funny! They r chinese yet Matt can only swear in Chinese and Kelvin speaks Mandarin with a heavy American accent. They said tt I look like I haf a tattoo somewhr on my body (*^%^#% NO!!! Elayne agreed with them! They all feel tt I haf some naughty vibes in me! As compared to my sis? Hmmm maybe!

Woah and we didn't haf to pay cover cos we were on the guest list =D

Thr was suppose to be a special Deejay from somewhr to rock the house but I personally feel that the music was quite bad =(

Eek, thr was a half jap half korean and half sober guy who kept toking to me. I wld haf been ok if he was better looking =P Ahaha. N then thr were some other ang mos and guys who tried to dance or chat up wid me!!! N Elayne n my sis. Kelvin had to help us turn some of them away and he asked "Y does all the guys wanna tok to u?" Erm well, as said previously, I tink i'm really attractive in Hawaii! n_n

Oh and I realise tt none of the people I hang out with smokes! Elayne and frens, Adam and frens, Andy and frens. Nice chaps =) Know how I realise? Cos on our way to Kelvin's car, one irritating fellow keeps asking me for a stick. I kept telling him tt I dun smoke but he keeps pestering me ARGGH! N Elayne said "We'r smoke-free, smoking causes lung cancer". It was then I realised tt none of them smokes! Great =) I heart them!

We went back at abt 2 plus cos we had a breakfast date with Andy at Eggs N Things tmr morning at 7am! @_@

While at the boarding area of TaoYuan airport... Ahaha me and my sis were busy looking at all the jap boys cos thr were so many of them ard. Guess they r boarding the same plane as us cos our plane will be stopping over at Narita for an hour! Think they're on a sch trip or sth... I spotted a really cute one and had several eye contacts wid him plus darn many peeps =P Woahahaha but sadly we were assigned different cabins on the flight =( din haf a chance to tok!

BTW, so many people thot I was a Japanese!!! Bcos of my permed hair? Or coloured lenses? I dunno Y! Countless air stewardess spoke to me in Japanese asking me which meal or wad drink I want or just gave me instructions in Jap =P Ahaha some I tried to "cheat" by answering in simple words but some really can't sia! Don't even understand wad r they toking abt wahahaha. When I reached Narita airport, one of the cabin crew in-charge at the transit counter even chked to see which passport I'm holding to determine whr I'm from. He said I looked totally like a Japanese, He cldn't understand y I'm not! HUH? jus bcos I'm flew to Japan doesn't make me a japanese! Well, I'll take tt as a compliment =) oh btw he's a japanese man in mid 40's i guess, not the type i'll be interested =P

I kinda got sick of flying =( I had 2 meals on a single flight can u imagine how long is the journey? I have alrdy taken 4 meals on all the flights so far from SIN->TPE->NRT->HNL. You can well imagine how much time I spent on the aircraft =[

Finally got to Aloha Hawaii at 8.30am on 21sept! We headed straight to Pearl Habor as Adam could only meet us at 11plus!


Took a cab thr which cost US15! Ex rite it was less than 10mins la!

Woah, as I was busy taking photos wid my sis, someone suddenly called out my name and when I turned ard, I was stunned!

It was Adam! Ahaha It feels really weird to haf someone call out to u in a foreign land whr u know nobody. Furthermore, he's a caucasian! hmmm cos I din expect him to be so cute and funny!!! N very nice too! When I called him, he jus got off work at 2hrs drive from whr I was and was still in his uniform! (BTW, he's a pilot! How cool is tt!) Yup but he rushed back to Honolulu to pick us up!

Oh his car is really cool! It's called "The Car", inspired by the bus system in Hawaii called "The Bus"(u noe like in sg it's called SBStransit).I muz take a pic wid his car soon when I meet him agn on wed! Hmm so sad, he can't show me ard these few days cos he's gg back to visit his family(erm i can't rem whr it is exactly but it's somewhr near Florida =P).

He suggested gg to Waikiki beach and we popped by his hse to grab the surf boards and get changed...



We ate Spicy Cheesy Fries b4 going to the beach. Tt explains my greedy face at the top right corner!

Now, presenting to you...... "The Hula surfer"

Longer surf boards are for beginners, it doesn't mean tt i'm more pro wahaha =P

Surfing was really tiring! I had to "piggy back" Adam to pull me across the waters cos I didn't haf enuff strength to keep paddling wid my arms.

I saw a really huge turtle swimming across the sea rite in front of me with it's head and front fins above water! SO cute! I tink it shd be at least 1 metre cos I saw it from some distance away and yet it still looked big.

Surfing isn't as easy as it seems, I didn't manage to ride on any waves in the end =( Maybe surfed one-quater of the wave? I thot I nearly died man! COs i got hit by 3 consecutive waves and didn't haf time to surface to catch my breath! It doesn't help tt the surf board hit my head so darn many times and other parts of my body too! My bikini went out of place too =P Wad's more? Look at this:

Tt's cuts from the rocks and some sea creatures which I can't rem the names. The black parts resulted from me stepping on sea urchins =( GROSS! It hurt quite alot cos the cuts are like 0.5cm deep? Adam said almost every surfer gets these and they will be smart enuff in future not to step on the sea bed...

Well, the only good thing abt these injuries is tt a cute lifeguard attended to my wounds =O dashing tan cutish guy ahaha but his 1st aid skills was like hmmm...

I cldn't fit into my slippers aft he bandaged my foot wahaha!

Btw, Tt's Adam's car, it's a beach car so it's got a ruggard look! If u'r observant enuff, u'll notice the driver behind me =)

We saw a rainbow too! Adam said it's a common sight in Hawaii and tt explains why their car no. plate and some other official documents come wid a rainbow design!



Sandy Beach...


We stopped by FoodLand to grab some chips, beer and a chocolate cake cos thr's a party at Adam's place ltr at nite!


We watched the Hula dance and fireworks at Hilton Hotel at Wakiki b4 heading back to Adam's place.

It was an international party! We haf representatives from USA, Germany, Saudi Arabia, China, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore!!!

Woah quite fun to tok to pple from different countries =) Adam drank and cldn't send us to our couch and Jacob was really sweet to offer to send us back! A photo wid him n_n


This is Elayne! She's s sweet and pretty! N i didn't expect her house to be so cosy and nice! I simply love this couch! So glad tt my 1st couchsurfing experience turn out so well!

It was bedtime right after I reach home... I'm so tired from the long flights and jet lag!!!
