Although it's really early in the morning (okie not so early since it's already 10am), I am really happy and a little excited! Jus had breakfast at 7.30am with Huijie (cos wanping and jialin is not ard) and went bk to my rm for a nap even though I m suppose to study and halfway thru my slp, I received a call from the HR manager/exec of da big U, to offer me an interview for an internship with them! So I asked her the internship is with which department and she said marketing cos she rem that time I said I was interested in marketing. How nice, she remembers me n_n WooHoo so happy =) but cos I jus woke up so a bit seh and I forgot to thank her =P Anw, the first thing that came to my mind was, yeah u all would have guessed it, my other internship how???

Hmmm I tink I will still go ahead for the interview tmr first at 4pm. Anw, it's not confirmed that they will offer me an internship right? But I do such a thing a bit jian4 hor? Already got internship still wan to go interview for another one. BUT I wanna keep my options open and see wad others have to offer so that I can make a comparison =) Plus I am interested in mkting/advertising products also - I realised this during my previous marcomm internship. I tink the complicated part will come only if both offer me an internship.

This time round I must go all out to achieve what I really want and not be held back by stupid commitments or fearing this or that! Really dunwanna feel regretful jus like the previous time I applied to a company which I really had wanted to work in. Yeap I applied for their internship position 2 months ago and was rejected and told to apply for a perm position since I am graduating. So I did and they shortlisted me for an assessment test and after passing that, they gave me a 9-section long data sheet to fill in about my experiences in response to situational circumstances.

After submitting that form, they called me up for an interview after a few weeks. I could still rem it was wed evening 6pm and the lady arranged for an interview the next day thurs at 4pm. Although thurs is usu quite free for me except for nm3219tut from 12-2pm, I told her that I have got lessons and can't make it for interview. Cos tt tut was the 1st time i was gg to meet my grp members and I'm afraid that thr's alot to cover. Plus aft tt i've got game design meeting which I alrdy didn't attend last wk due to animal behaviour symposium. I asked if there is any other time slots or days and she said no, maybe can arrange for 2pm. So I said hmm sorry I can't make it.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! HOW DUMB!!!!! Cos ltr on when I called my sis and hock and told wanping abt it, EVERYONE of them reprimanded me and said that I shd haf jus skipped lessons and go ahead with such an important job interview. Cos a career is gonna be ur life thing! Studies now for a yr3-lousy caps-definitely not gg for honours-student like me wld be of no priority at all! Sianz... I really regretted my decision man.. I called the lady back, no response and I called her very early the next morning but she said the slot has been taken. I even asked like when's the next time they are conducting interviews and she said she can't confirm cos it's a one-day thing. At that time, I didn't understand what that means but I came to realize only now that they actually only have one day for interviewing that potential candidates for the position and I tink they only shortlisted one or at most 2 people (cos according to her she only got max 2 timeslots)! ARGHZ!!! I TOTALLY DESTROYED MY OWN CHANCE! Yup so few more weeks and more than a month ltr, I nv received any calls fr them and an email jus popped out in my gmail inbox couple of days back saying that the position is closed, asking me to apply for other available positions... SAD!

Lesson learnt! Haha so now I am preparing my cover letter for the interview tmr and I was trying to check out the company name. Whether is it Pte Ltd or International or jus the name itself. U noe those kinda thing? Jus to be very specific. No matter how I Googled or scan through their website, I jus cldn't find it. In the end I finally confirmed it to be *** Singapore Pte Ltd and you know how I came to that conclusion? I checked out the company name on my SHAMPOO!!! Wahaha yeah luckily I am using Dove and SunSilk. My Dove shampoo was bought from a neighbourhood shop which was imported from Taiwan and hence all the chinese names so I cldn't get any info fr thr. Luckily my SunSilk was bought from JohnLittle and it has the M'sia and Singapore address. Yeah man!

Anw, wad's wrong wid wearing coloured lenses at workplace =( Very unpro or wad? Or is it that they got something against it? Or maybe bcos of security? You know like some security uses iris detection system right?

Btw, I enjoy group interviews bcos the focus will not be entirely on you and u'll not be so pressured. Also, while others tok, u can consolidate ur thots and think of some answers or even build ur answers upon the ideas brought up by other candidates. Of course it will also benefit the interviewer as it will be easier to tell the who are the stronger or weaker ones.
