1st SPCA Volunteering experience

WAS GREAT!!!!

Hehe I've volunteered for dog-walking =) Woke up at 7am in the morning cos dog-walking starts at 8am.

Guinness was the 1st dog I walked but i was jus walking alongside another volunteer cos she's trying to teach me wad to do - how to lease a dog, hold the lease, control the speed etc.

The 2nd dog was:
Caesar

Initially I was a little scared even though i m not directly handling it cos this shepherd is 5 years old and really HUGE! the mouth can swallow my whole arm i swear! N when it accidentally stepped on my foot with its paws, it actually hurt! just like when another human step on my feet. Yeah so u can imagine how big it is. Nevertheless, it still has to go for its walk and to my surprise, it's not fierce at all =)

Well well so aft 2 dogs, it's time for me to try hands-on heh!

1st time in my whole life tt i haf ever walked a dog alone!*Tadang* Napoleon the star!

Yeap yeap another German Shepherd agn, quite big but not as huge as the previous one! He's a really nice dog to walk and v well-trained too! The more experienced volunteer was wid me so no worries =) but i handled him all by myelf n_n *proud of myself face*

The last dog is Boy. This time rd, I went dog-walking alone with no other volunteers! Din manage to take a pic of him but he resembles "xiao pang" from my animal behaviour pet shop =)
*Edits* Managed to find boy's pic on the SPCA website! He's the one on the left:

Very cute rite?

CALLING OUT TO ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE CONSIDERING TO KEEP A PET!!!
pls pls pls chk out SPCA's shelter and adopt a pet instead of buying one ok? they r really lovely animals in nd of a caring home. Give them a chance k!

The weather was good today. Heard tt sometimes it can get really sunny or humid. Normally we'll walk the thick fur dogs first cos morning is cooler for them! Those pups under 4 months are released out of their cages to run ard within the shelter compound to exercise + socialise. They are not brought outside for walking to prevent infection cos they ain't vaccinated yet due to their young age!

Went to play with the litle kitten aft my duty ended...

Enjoyed myself with the furry cuties. Had a fulfilling morning b4 going bk to sch for tut at 2pm. Guess i'll make it a routine volunteering schedule n_n
