Was invited by Ripplevox to this event last wednesday and since wanping was / is still a great fan of Topshop, decided to ask her along! Ahaha =) As a future prospective marketing/ events/ publicity/ communications executive, I ought to attend functions like this to gain an insight to the operations of different events! Moreover, I haf got nm & mkt projects on hand now and I need some ideas too n_n

Went to ichiban for a light dinner b4 heading bk hall! I'm kinda in love with my threaded brows! N wanping is trying to get a nice shot of her tattoo!

Woah woah woah!!! What a long break from my last post! I tink even my IT show pay would have been ready before I publish this haha*kidding =) Oh ya and toking abt the pay, it's only enough to cover the taxes and fuel surcharge for my air tixs to US! So far me and stacy have been trying so hard to find the best deal and the cheapest one we could get was $2.4k =(

Anw even though I was damn busy, I managed to slack off my whole weekend nua-ing at home and watching dvds =P but tt was mainly cos my internet access at home was terminated due to long overdue payments not made so i can't go online to do anything (ok a bit of lousy excuse here)*boo =( it doesn't help tt no one else uses it except for me and occasionally my sis, so no one bothered to reconnect it back! GROSS hmph!

This was the show tt i watched:



It's quite a slow moving show and a little weird but the overall storyline was alrite and some parts quite sweet while some parts really funny. If you can't appreciate the show, at least the starring actor chen bo lin is damn cute!!!! =P



21 mar 08 Crazy deadlines + Vegetarian Dinner @ Quality Hotel

Was a day of non-stop working on assignment deadlines since morning right after breakfast! I spent so much time on my animal behaviour blog post (and a litle bit of time on the game design reflection) that by the time I finished, it was like 3pm and I missed Dance Uncensored =( Felt really sorry for Stacy. It was also partly due to the heavy rain thatI decided not to go =P

After which was yummy buffet dinner at Quality Hotel!!! Yeah =D



Could you tell that it's vegetarian? Cool rite? I had always enjoyed vegetarian food but I love meat too! Opps =P actually this group of frens are from my fou tang(something like a buddhist church) which I used to attend when I was young. Erm but due to my busy schedule plus un-devoted-ness, I seldom attend services anymore.

But it's still nice to meet up with them once in a while to catch up! They are really nice pple =)

It was this guy's (opps I dunno the name =P) b'day so it's kinda like a celebration for him and we're suppose to gif him a treat. Well in the end we all got a treat from ah B =) thanks loads

18 mar 08 Visa Interview @ US Embassy

Ok i mus say this is one of the nicest passport photos tt i haf ever taken in my whole life! I m serious! The ugliest photos are always those passport fotos rite? Although this photo ain't tt great, it's still presentable n thr's no other passport foto tt can compare to this!



Well, "beauty" comes with a price too! 2 of this cost 10bucks -__- & I haf no choice but to take it since it's a requirement for the US visa application and it's such an odd measurement!

Ahaha it was quite a funny exp cos me and stacy was so lost thr and didn't prepare our photos and fill in the forms b4 tt. Plus we are so afraid of being scolded cos the counter staff are a bit "unfrenly". The interview nothing scary at all, we were like practically chatting abt my life!



17 mar 08 SPCA + Game Design + The Leap Year

Yeah it was dog-walking agn!! Tt morning was surprisingly filled with a lot of volunteers so I only had to walk two dogs! The first was Leroy, a handsome looking 1-year-old Siberian Husky! Got really good stamina to train my fitness and I had to use alot of strength to hold him back during the walk =)



Next was Rudy, a really cute tiny Chihuahua! The contrast of walking the 2 was really great! I could haf practically crawled while walking Rudy cos he's so small and take such tiny steps =)



I was really happy to know that the 2 German Shepherd (Caesar & Napoleon) that I had walked 2 weeks ago had been adopted! Yeah! =D Hope tt they are now happily living in their loving homes!

Went back to sch for Game Design tut. Check out our game characters! So cute rite? Ahaha all thanks to our super talented Kayvern-san *kowtows* He's really zai! Our programmer and artist!



Met Siew to watch The Leap Years after class. Everyone was telling me that it was such a great show! I think that made me had very high expectation for the show and end up I was a little disappointed as I thot the movie was jus alrite. However, I muz say tat the storyline is quite nice =)



16 mar 08 Full day KIMarie project filming

It was a whole day of filming for our mkt proj. Had lotsa fun but the very sad and frustrating event tt day was tt some idiot stole my cam pouch =( *RoaR! Unless he/she has an ixus75 but doesn't haf a pouch, it doesn't serve any purpose to steal mine at all!!! Moreover, it was a sunday at tanjong pagar CBD area, there was no one ard and I was really sure tt i left the pouch at the railings for less than 10mins to shoot the video! The nx moment when I turned back, it was gone >=(

Cabbed down with JiaLin, Manny and Alison to the event at Zouk on Fri nite and met up with Joanna there. Ok and can consider it to be supporting Kenneth also =P



Nothing much to shout about. Cld still rem last yr D.Glass and a couple of other guys tt i know was in the contest. The mkt exe from Nivea even gave me 2 invites to attend the event aft i collected Futsal sponsor goods from them but I didn't go in the end =P

Btw, it really pays off to flirt with the bartender heh ahaha something i heard and tried tt nite!

Experiment: I ordered 2 drinks (vodka cranberry & vodka greentea for Joanna) from a bartender and was talking (cum flirting abit la) to him. While he went away to prepare the drinks, I ordered another drink (vodka orange) from another bartender and this time i only placed order and didn't talk to him at all.

Result: I nearly choked on my vodka cranberry as it was practically vodka while Jialin complained that the drink i got for her is v diluted

*Winks* Nx time I know wad to do when I need to order my drinks n_n

My sales for sat was only 20sets but sun was a whopping 50sets! All compact cams. No wonder my fren who recommended me to wrk insisted tt I work for the comm and not the basic(which is only $50 per day). He asked me not to look at the basic only and assured me tt it's worthwhile so I took the job. Indeed it was =) A great Thank You to Manfred for getting me to work at the IT show under his company.

Lucky for me! I got assigned to brand Nikon under Harvey Norman. Heard tt not all brands haf good welfare and sales. At least I know tt sony doesn't! Cos Siew(whom I recommended in to work) was asked to report for work at 9.30am and knock off at 11plus pm la! Plus she was arrowed to bring home the cam batts to charge! >=( V demanding! If it was me I wld had refused man! So evil!

I tink Harvey (and Nikon) rockz! They cater the nicest meals for us =) I enjoyed my lunch on sat and dinner on sun. Only managed to grab 1 meal per day as the crowd was really crazy! Although they allow you to go for break anytime u wan, u wun wanna go off seeing so much "commissions" floating and crowding ard the counter! (Anw, another reason was tt some food packs went "missing" so thr wasn't enough for me =P) Nikon was nice too! They provided refreshments and snacks during product training =)

Well in spite of the welfare, aft my 1st day of wrk on sat, my toes and legs were aching like crazy and my voice as sexy as ah du's. I calculated that I have worked close to a total of 24hrs, 12hrs per day from 10.30am to 10pm. Really xiong but it's worth the money!

A couple of frens came to say "hi" too, 2 even bought their cams from me =D Ahaha one of them is Eileen! Her mum nds a cam for her company's wroker hehe so they bought the L14 which is value for money! Low price yet good spects. So cute but too bad can't get more free gifts for her cos HarveyNorman said it's alrdy v discounted. Joanna came to buy a P50 from me too! She's actually the agent for the show gers for nikon ahaha so I told her to bargain for more freebies for herself =P

Layz was shopping ard for a digicam too but didn't buy nikon in the end cos she found a cheaper and prettier alternative =) Wanted to take photo with those peeps who came but =( haiz really no time! I realized that the only time tt i stopped tokking was when I wrote the sales form for cust to make their purchase. Even then, some custs still bombard me with qns abt the cams -_-

Even though there were many frens wrking at IT show, I cldn't even say "hi" to them bcos there was simply no time! That incls the nikon show girls like beatrice and jerline, din even haf time to catch up with them at all! Only a few sentences and managed a foto wid jerline during dinner. Thanks to peiling, another sexy ger (she was busy playing ard with the cam during dinner), I managed to haf a shot with jerline babe (still as slim as ever!!!)...


Haha I know this is really off but chk out my dinner! It consist of 3 chicken wings and 3 meat balls together with fried noodle yeah? Yummy! N i took 2 of beatrice's meatballs =P ahaha cos she doesn't like them la! Not cos i'm greedy k! Hmph!

Many pple say tt Show girls have a good life. Yes I agree tt they earn more than the usu sales pple and have much shorter wrking hrs but u nd to consider the negative pts too!
- they haf to wear heels and stand/walk on them thru all the wrking hrs
- they haf a fixed no. of wrking hrs and can't extend to earn more
- they do not earn commission (which sometimes may far exceed their pay)
- they haf to wear "light" despite the strong aircon
- they haf to make sure they dun "zao geng"
- they haf to tolerate "hump sup" stares
- they haf to allow anyone who wishes to take pictures of them photograph them and own the exclusive rights to the pics even if it's for "unknown" purpose or simply "own consumption" (yucks!the thot of it disgust me =@)
- they haf to tolerate criticism! (e.g. eeek this one not chio, wa lao eh this one so fat, yucks tt one got tummy, breast so small, mouth so big, face so crooked, eyes so droopy, nose so flat, make-up so thick etc...)

Yeah in summary, they are quite poor thing sometimes also. For those who kept complaining, give them a break. Everyone's jus doing their job and earning $ for living so loosen up yeah? Luckily their welfare for this show was very well taken care of =)

Heart the babes for bringing sales to me =D!



Went to ktv and drinking session with the HTC peeps at the Labyrinth aft the show ended! It was also to celebrate Anthony's belated b'day and catch up a bit la. Steven's voice is super funny, so is everyone's! Siew came too but at like 11plus close to 12midnite aft she knocked off! Din really sing much cos of my sexy voice and headed home at abt 2plus. Haf got volunteering the nx day =P Nearly died trying to wake up but it was another fulfilling morning =)

I muz go watch some movies soon! It's been a darn long time since I stepped into a movie theatre!
